My e-mails from Republicans full of  hate and Bitterness

 

     

     I get a lot of e-mails from conservatives who visit my site and disagree with my opinions.  I understand that you disagree and I welcome your comments and I read them all if possible.  But I am disappointed that the large majority of the comments I get do not express conservative values, or a fun debate of the issues you disagree with - most of the comments I get are nasty, involve calling both me and the President names - HELLO -  we are not in the 3rd grade anymore and name calling is so childish, immature and well - just makes you sound like a sore loser.

 

     I did get a nice e-mail from a reader - "Lisa" - who did not agree with my opinions  - can you imagine that?  ....but Lisa wrote a very intelligent e-mail, clearly stating her position on the issues and gave me good insight to think about and consider.

 

     The most troubling e-mails I get - and these are all too frequest - are from readers who start out saying they are Christians and then let go with a string of profanity and hate that would embarrass a drunken sailer.  

 

     I agree that extreme partisanship is doing us harm on both sides of the aisle.  And I feel the leadership for change needs to come more from the majority party, namely the democrats - I think the President is leading in that regard but the dems in Congress need to get on board - AND the republicans need to join in readily.

 

     As for my readers who write such nasty e-mails - please feel free to share you ideas on the issues, please disagree with me and say why, but as for the childish name calling - I just laugh and picture the 8 year old kid I knew long ago who used the same technique when he could not  come up with anything intelligent to say.
